Your account, your choice
Choose the action that matches what you want to remove.
Three different actions
- Sign out or uninstall: stops use on that device; it does not erase the online account.
- Leave family: disconnects your login from a household; it keeps your account.
- Delete my account: requests removal of the login and associated personal data.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Family → Delete my account. If you have not joined a household, use the account-deletion option on the family chooser.
- Read the consequences for your profile and household. Confirm with your current account password.
- Choose a 30-day recovery period or permanent deletion without the recovery hold, then confirm.
If you are the last adult login responsible for a household, transfer responsibility where possible or explicitly confirm household closure. The app explains when an action is blocked or will also affect shared family data. Do not close a household while other members still need its records.
What happens after confirmation?
Normal access stops immediately. With the recoverable option, sign in within 30 days and explicitly cancel deletion to restore access; signing in alone does not cancel it. Recovery is unavailable after the recovery window or once permanent removal has begun.
Permanent deletion has no recovery hold and cannot be undone through the app. Removal of database records, private photo files and the authentication account is processed in the background, with retries if a service is unavailable. “Permanent” does not mean that every file is erased synchronously at the moment of the request.
Which data is affected?
Account deletion removes the login and associated personal profile, personal completion/score/reward records and uploaded files through the cleanup process. References in shared records are removed or adjusted where needed; other household members’ surviving records are not automatically erased unless the household itself is closed. Ask support if you need a copy before deletion.
Retiring or permanently removing a task from the task catalogue is a different action: its historical awards can remain. Leaving a household or hiding a member also follows its own recovery rules and is not a substitute for an account-erasure request.
Messages already sent to support, provider logs, backup copies and files exported to other services are separate. See retention and deletion for their treatment. Copies held by people you shared with may need to be removed by those recipients.
Cannot access the app, or need help with a child’s profile?
Email support@fancy-arty.com from the account email if possible. Describe the request and optionally include the family reference. Support may need proportionate proof of identity or parental authority; never send your password, parent PIN or verification codes.
You can request correction, access or other privacy rights without deleting the whole family. Read your privacy rights and children and family privacy.
